The film's biggest plus point is the non-linear screenplay. Director Charles has narrated the script on the need to know basis, he hasn't fully revealed the characterization and the twists in the beginning and provides twists and turns throughout the film. The runtime is just 1hr and 46 minutes so it's an additional advantage for Lockup. Lockup has its own share of flaws, the film has continuity issues and many scenes are spoiled by the poor lip-sync. The female lead (Vani Bhojan) is there for the sake of it and we could guess that the editor has chopped off many unwanted scenes to make the film racier.
Arrol Corelli's background score is a big plus for the film and the cinematography is also quite impressive. Overall, Lockup is a decent thriller that keeps us engaged in the crisp 106 minutes runtime.
Murder investigation of a cop and a woman! Are they connected and how it leads to untie the knot is lockup! As the running time is very short, it gets straight to the plot and investigation goes on without any loopholes. Later half gives many surprises in the narration which keeps engaging till end! In-house police politics leads to crime and take away the goodness of many cops is well received as a message! Good thriller!
