A Class 11 girl was gang-raped by two men in Coimbatore's Seeranaickenpalayam area after six men attacked her boyfriend, stripped and video graphed him.
The couple was in a park to celebrate her birthday when the men attacked them. The two men raped her after she refused to strip, while the other four took pictures and videos of the act.
The 17-year-old girl is a Class 11 student at a school in Coimbatore. On November 26, she wanted to celebrate her birthday with her boyfriend. The men first attacked the boyfriend, stripped him and video graphed him. They then chased him away.
"The gang’s attention then turned to the teen girl. They allegedly threatened her to strip to which she refused. “When she refused, they hit her and made her lie down on the ground and video graphed her. When she again refused to strip, two men in that group raped her and others took pictures and videos of the act,” the Police said.
The girl then went to her cousin’s place and stayed for two days and then filed a complaint with the police on November 28. The two men who raped the girl have not yet been caught, and the Coimbatore City police have formed special teams to nab them.
