20-year-old Dalit girl in Tamil Nadu found hanging in Garden

A 20-year-old Dalit girl from Tamil Nadu's Kancheepuram had found hanging in a private garden on Thursday with stab marks and burns on her body, police said.
 
Hailing from Aandi Siruvallur village near Walajabad, she was working in a private company in Kancheepuram. On 21 November, she did not come back home.
 
Her family lodged a missing person complaint at the Kancheepuram Taluk police station on 23 November.
 
The girl's family has alleged that a 30-year-old man, with whom she was in a relationship, and others might have gang-raped and murdered her.
 
The woman's father said in the police complaint that he suspected the culprit to be Rajesh, a man his daughter was in a relationship with and belongs to a dominant caste. The police have arrested her boyfriend as a suspect.
 
The cause of death will get ascertained after the post-mortem report is ready, Police said.
