As soon as Jagan came to power, it was reported that a ministerial subcommittee was appointed to fight the anarchy of the previous government. The ministerial subcommittee after a few months of work submitted a report to the chief minister. Based on these, Jagan set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the decisions of the previous government and other matters. Now Jagan handed over the Amaravati land dealings issue to the CBI to investigate.
Allegations of several landslides in the Amaravati region during the reign of Telugu Desam have been repeatedly heard from Jagan Sarkar. YCP leaders have said on several occasions that the capital has to be shifted due to these irregularities. Many TDP leaders have posed challenges to CBI to investigate the corruption of Jagan. Sujanachaudhari, who fled from TDP to BJP, posed similar challenges.
Jagan government finally took a decision under TDP allegations. The decision was to hand over the land deals to the CBI. The decision to hand over the land acquired to the poor in Amaravathi was taken up when the High Court said to handover the case to CBI.
