Centre Seeks Dismissal Of The Petitions Against The Agnipath Project.

Delhi: The Centre seeks dismissal of the petitions against the Agnipath project in the Delhi High Court. "The Agnipath project is a policy decision taken in relation to national security. This necessitates structural changes in the overall organisation of the armed forces. The Agnipath project will rejuvenate the armed forces," claimed the centre. The centre also claimed that the retired firemen will provide skilled manpower to society.

The Army had disqualified those who protested against the Agniveer project. They cannot participate in Agniveer recruitment. The Army stated that this has been clarified in the law. The explanation of the top officials who visited Agniveer Recruitment in Kozhikode is that the protests have not affected the recruitment.

Kerala, Karnataka, Pondicherry, and Lakshadweep are under the Bengaluru recruitment region. The recruitment process is in progress in Karnataka and Kerala. Around 23000 people have registered for the Northern Region Recruitment Rally in Kerala. About 13100 people have already reached the rally. 705 people qualified preliminarily. 624 people have been recommended for re-examination. The Army said the protests had not affected recruitment anywhere.

The recruitment rally in south Kerala will be held in Kollam on the 15th of next month. The youth of Kerala are performing well in the written examinations. But the army's assessment is that there is much more to improve in sportsmanship. A recruitment rally for women will be held in Bengaluru next month. The army reported that approximately 11,000 women had registered for the Bengaluru recruitment.
