Chandrababu writes to AP CM seeking permission over Praja Vedika
TDP Chief and Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has requested new Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to allow him to use the Praja Vedika as the office of the Leader of Opposition.
"As you are aware, the Praja Vedika is being used as a facility for conducting various meetings and meeting the visitors, since there was hardly any open space in the residence chosen by me," Chandra Babu Naidu wrote.
In the Post Assembly elections 2019, following my demitting of CM office, I have decided to retain the same private house, as per agreed terms and conditions of the private owner of the property. Since the Praja Vedika is located beside my existing residence, I am planning to retain it for my official use," he further said.
Naidu said that allowing him to operate from the Praja Vedika office would help him discharge duties as Leader of Opposition under the new government. "I have been chosen as the leader of the Telugu Desam Legislature Party, to discharge my responsibilities as the leader of the opposition. I wish to continue the same arrangement that Praja Vedika is declared as the residence annex of the leader of opposition to facilitate me to meet legislators, visitors, common public and discharge my duties," he said.
