IPL 2021: Rohit Sharma to lock horns with Virat Kohli in epic season opener

The defending champions Mumbai Indians are the favourites to win the tournament for the fifth time in the franchise history. They have the best squad on paper and if their big guns, Rohit Sharma, Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Kieron Pollard hit the top gear, it wouldn’t be too big of a challenge to win the tournament for a record fifth time.

Coming back to the season opener, both Mumbai and Royal Challengers Bangalore have star-studded lineups with match-winners on either side. RCB’s new acquisition Glenn Maxwell is the most prominent addition to their squad and the Australian batting all-rounder will be one of the X-factor players for the Bengaluru-based franchise. Mumbai vs RCB match will be kicking off at 7:30 PM tomorrow in Chennai. The Chennai track is traditionally a spin-friendly one and the spinners on both sides will be looking to make the most out of the conditions in the Chepauk stadium. While Rohit, de Kock, Hadik Pandya, Bumrah, Pollard, and Rahul Chahar will be the players to look out for in Mumbai, Virat Kohli, de Villiers, Maxwell, Chahal, and Devdutt Padikkal are likely to be the star performers for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
