Is JD Lakshmi Narayana taking Janasena lightly?
Actor-turned-Politician Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has stepped up his party activities like building the organisational structure and working out the action plans for the coming days, for the last few days.
Comprising four key leaders – Nadendla Manohar, P Rammohan Rao, Raju Ravi Teja and Arhan Khan, apart from himself, Pawan reconstituted his party’s politburo, last week.
Headed by Nadendra Manohar, he also constituted an 11-member political affairs committee. Headed by Madasu Gangadharam, Pawan also created a one-member disciplinary committee. Specific tasks for all these committees have been assigned by him and he also announced that he would also take up field tours across the length and breadth of Andhra Pradesh shortly.
Former joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation and retired IPS officer V V Lakshminarayana, who joined the Jana Sena Party just before the general elections is the one person who has been missing from action in the revived party activities. From Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency, Lakshminarayana contested as Jana Sena candidate but lost miserably and was nowhere to be seen in the party.
He has been keeping away from party activities, despite reports in the media and also social media about JD continuing his social service activities. In any of the state-level committees appointed by Pawan, his name also does not figure.
