It was seen earlier that during the general elections in 2019, KCR had set up his own stand on National Politics and had been opposing both BJP and Congress while focusing on the federal front. Later by the victory of BJP, KCR calmed down. Again now, after gaining huge victory in Municipal elections, it looks like,
KCR has once again gained the confidence to focus on National Politics. In a recent press meet, KCR had for the first time raised his voice over the latest controversial bill, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He told that if CAA has brought to effect in India, then it might ruin the image of India and its community. He said that India has respect all over the world for its community. If it made religious, then it might affect the students and job holders of India, who are staying abroad.
He requested PM Modi to rethink CAA, NRC, and NPR. He told that nearly 15 to 16 Chief Ministers and other opposition and regional parties are already against this CAA and that is not for India. He asked other chief ministers and leaders to not stay calm on this. He added that he will soon be passing a resolution in the Telangana Assembly against this and is also preparing to conduct a meeting on these with Chief Ministers of other states too.
