This was always coming. For the past few days, the NDA government led by Modi has been blaming the UPA regime led by Manmohan Singh when the Congress leaders talked about the economic crisis that India is facing.
Ex-PM Manmohan Singh on Thursday said the government should stop blaming the UPA regime for the country's problems, having now spent five-and-a-half years in office. "Nirav Modi ran away and banks' problems are getting worse. You can't keep passing the buck to UPA's tenure," he said. The NDA government should've learned from UPA's "mistakes" and provided "credible solutions", Singh added.
"You may score some brownie points, but you are not finding solutions to the problems of the suffering humanity of our country," Singh added. Most surprisingly, India's hunger situation has been termed 'serious'. India has been ranked 102 out of 117 countries in terms of severity of hunger, which is way below Pakistan and Nepal.
