Rahul Gandhi gives a counter to Narendra Modi on economic crisis

For the past few days, there has been a series of accusations between the UPA and the NDA Government about the economic management of the country. They continue to blame each other amid the reports that suggest the low level of the economic status of our country. Recently, Manmohan Singh fired back on Modi’s government and suggested doing what they can in the coming five years. He also told them to rectify the faults committed by their government.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman should steal ideas from his party’s 2019 Lok Sabha elections manifesto to tackle the “economic mess”. “PM & FM should steal ideas from manifesto.inc.in (Congress’ official manifesto website),” he added. “Rural India is in severe distress... economy has sunk,” he further said. Gandhi’s attack on the government came over a media report that claimed rural consumption generally grows faster than urban consumption.

“Media persons say ‘we know the truth but we can’t show it because we will lose our jobs’. The media, the channels, and newspapers are in the hands of 5-10 businessmen”, Gandhi alleged. “Modi has just one job — to divert” the attention of the country from the real issues," he claimed.
