Rohit Sharma stars India chase down 154 in 15.4 overs Vs Bangladesh, level series 1-1

India chased down the target of 154 in 15.4 overs to defeat Bangladesh in the second T20I at Rajkot on Thursday and level the three-match series 1-1. The match witnessed stand-in captain Rohit Sharma slam 85 runs off 43 deliveries in his 100th T20I match. The series decider will take place in Nagpur on Sunday.

After losing Toss, Bangladesh has gone off to a flier as Litton Das got lucky twice. The opening duo scored 54 in the first power play but the spin department applied breaks by taking up wickets regularly. Soumya Sarkar and Mahmadhullah scored Odd-30’s and Chahal took 2 wickets. Khaleel Ahmed was the most expensive and India successfully restricted Bangladesh for 153 runs.

Interestingly, during Bangladesh's sixth over, India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant stumped Liton Das after the latter charged down off leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. However, replays showed Pant grabbed the ball in front of the stumps, after which the third umpire declared 'Not Out' and deemed it no-ball. Pant criticized for his mistake, with fans demanding MS Dhoni to be back.
