TDP leaves Congress in Telangana for the greater good in AP

In Telangana, Telugu Desam Party and Congress decided to fight together in 2018 Assembly General Elections. Both parties decided to put their ideological differences aside. This move from Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, TDP chief and then Chief Minister of the state, wasn’t liked by many in AP.

This move by CBN has influenced AP people against TDP that was later displayed in the verdict of AP assembly polls. There are many fans of KCR in AP who emerged as one of the popular, powerful and inspirational leaders in the country with his own style of policies and administration.

Due to this, TDP has decided to change that perception and directly fight with Congress even if it benefits TRS. For the by-election, TDP gave the ticket to Chava Kiranmayi in Huzur Nagar Constituency. As the Congress party gave the ticket to Uttam Kumar Reddy's wife, Padmavathi, it is a direct contest with Congress.

TDP high authorities are backing on strong party workers base in the constituency. Also, if the need arises they might bring people from near-by Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh to campaign aggressively in the by-election.
