Venkat Medapati is APNRT’s new Chief
Following the change of government in AP, the APNRT ( Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu society) has also got a new Chief. APNRT is an AP government initiative that was established in previous Nara Chandra Babu Naidu's regime. Sources say that the new chairman of APNRT will be Medapati Venkat from California.
He will soon replace Ravi Vemuri who is believed to be a close associate of former chief minister of AP, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu. Following the change of government, the website of APNRT also had removed the name of Naidu. Instead of mentioning Naidu's name, it just says, “The NRT division dedicated exclusively to cater to the needs of the NRTs has been formed under the leadership of the Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.”
Even the photograph of Naidu was replaced with that of New Chief Minister of AP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Earlier Chandra Babu Naidu had allocated a huge area of land to APNRT to build NRI tower at Amaravathi.
As now every project had been taken control by new CM, and that he had already cancelled all those projects which haven’t yet grounded, even this project of NRI tower might surely be halted at least if not cancelled. It is yet to see whether any progress will be made with the appointment of Medapati Venkat as the new chairman of APNRT.
