YSRCP MLAs car damaged by agitated Amaravati farmers

Farmers protesting in at Amaravati region against three capitals proposal on Tuesday threw stones at the car of YSR Congress Party Macharla MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy. The incident took place when Reddy was passing from the National Highway-16 which had blocked by farmers. Reddy has alleged that Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu had instigated the attack.
 
The incident led to high tension in the area as police undertook a baton charge to disperse the protestors. The MLA's gunman got down from the car and tried to clear the way. During an argument with the farmers, he allegedly manhandled a farmer. Angry over this the protestors pelted stones, damaging the car's window panes. The farmers had surrounded the vehicle but the driver sped it away. The MLA escaped unhurt in the incident.
 
YSRCP leader R.K. Roja condemned the attack on her colleague and said TDP leaders were resorting to such attacks to save their ill-gotten property in Amaravati.
 
Guntur Range IG registered a case and said that stern action would be taken against the attackers. Keeping the students' future in view, the IG advised the students not to ruin their future by resorting to anti-social elements in the name of agitation.
