T'puram: The Election Commission has taken strong measures to tighten the security in the state ahead of the polls. In addition to the police force, 57 companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed in the state. The EC has ordered to bring 2000 police personnel from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. During the election, 3607 polling booths will have arrangements for live webcasting.
