Elephant Meets With Accident When Being Transported On Lorry
Kochi: An elephant named 'Thrissivaperur Karnnan' sustained head injuries while being transported on a lorry, in violation of orders issued by the Chief Wildlife Warden. According to the order, elephants must not be transported on vehicles between 10 am and 4 pm. Violating this order, a tusker was taken on a lorry and the mishap occurred when the driver was about to take the vehicle for refueling. The elephant’ s forehead rammed the roof of the petrol pump which resulted in an injury to the pachyderm.
