New Delhi: Four men Akshay Kumar Singh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Sharma and Mukesh Singh who were convicted in the 2012 Nirbhya gang-rape and murder case was hanged today at 5.30 am at Delhi's Tihar Jail. The Supreme Court, after a midnight hearing, rejected a last-minute plea filed by one of the convicts seeking a review of the death penalty. A minor convict in the case was released after completing a three-year sentence. Ram Singh, another accused in the case, committed suicide in the jail on March 11, 2013.
