Palakkad: In the wake of finding an abandoned newborn baby at Nagarapuram, near Mannur in Palakkad, a woman alleged that she was assaulted inside the CPM party office in Cherpulassery by a youth organization member. The incident was unfolded when the woman, identified as the mother of the newborn, told the team investigating the case of the abandoned newborn. She claimed that she was assaulted by her classmate when both of them, who were students of a private college in Cherpulassery, came to the party office to do some work related to their college magazine.
