Palakkad: In the wake of finding an abandoned newborn baby at Nagarapuram, near Mannur in Palakkad, a woman alleged that she was sexually assaulted inside the CPM party office in Cherpulassery by a youth organization member. The incident unfolded when the woman, identified as the mother of the newborn, told the team investigating the case of the alleged incident at the party office. She said her classmate sexually assaulted her when both of them, students of a private college in Cherpulassery, came to the party office to do some work related to their college magazine.
