Ajith and AR Murugadoss donate Rs 25 lakh each to TN govt

On May 11, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin appealed to private, public organizations and citizens to donate as much as they can to Chief Minister's Relief Fund. He said that this fund will help in the Covid-19 fight. Following this announcement, many actors and technicians of the Tamil film industry donated money to the Relief Fund. Veteran actor Sivakumar and his sons Karthi and Suriya met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and donated Rs 1 crore. This gesture was appreciated by everyone and inspired several others in the city.

After Suriya and family's donation, actor Ajith has donated Rs 25 lakh to the Relief Fund. Initially, the government's press release mistakenly printed Rs 25 lakh as Rs 2.5 crore. However, Ajith's publicist Suresh Chandra confirmed that he donated Rs 25 lakh and not Rs 2.5 crore. Ajith contributed his money via bank transfer today morning. Similarly, director AR Murugadoss met MK Stalin and handed over a cheque of Rs 25 lakh to him. Stunt choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan donated Rs 10 lakh to the Relief Fund.
