Farhan Akhtar has the perfect response to Abhay Deol's comments on Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Actor and producer Farhan Akhtar keeps himself away from rumours and speculations. Akhtar isn't one for controversy and is rarely heard speaking about others in the industry. Recently Abhay Deol involved Farhan Akhtar in a controversial comment surrounding Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Deol called out award functions for snubbing Farhan and himself from the title of lead actor.

Abhay wrote, "I would like to mention that almost all the award functions demoted me and Farhan from main leads and nominated us as "supporting actors". Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif were nominated as "actors in a leading role". So by the industry's own logic, this was a film about a man and a woman falling in love, with the man supported by his friends for whatever decisions he takes.”

Rightfully so Abhay wasn't too happy about this and revealed that he stopped going to award functions ever since. However this isn't how Farhan Akhtar feels about award functions and fake titles. In a conclave with India Today Farhan Akhtar once said, "Your are constantly hearing about some rat race and everybody is fighting each other to some kind of spot which does not exist. I mean the fact is you have to believe in yourself, you have to work sincerely, work hard."

The actor said that it isn't in his profession to run behind fame and magazine covers. He said, "If that is your larger interest, I really feel that you are in the wrong profession. You’re not here for that. Have you come here to be an actor, director, singer, music composer, or have you come here to be a reality star? Have you come here to be just, I don’t know, a star?"

“Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara”, released in 2011. Need to chant this title to myself everyday nowadays! Also a great watch when anxious or stressed. I would like to mention that almost all the award functions demoted me and Farhan from main leads, and nominated us as “supporting actors”. Hrithik and Katrina were nominated as “actors in a leading role”. So by the industry’s own logic, this was a film about a man and a woman falling in love, with the man supported by his friends for whatever decisions he takes. There are many covert and overt ways in which people in the industry lobby against you. In this case it was shamelessly overt. I of course boycotted the awards but Farhan was ok with it. #familyfareawards Very creative artwork @kalakkii

Here is the eerie trailer of Ram Gopal Varma's next flick 12'o clock. Check it out now

While the theatres got shut across the country, one director is still making films and releasing them as well. He is none other than maverick director Ram Gopal Varma. Varma already released two films last month. His directorial movies Climax and Naked had a direct digital release in June. Now, he is back with yet another new film. Titled 12'o Clock, the trailer of this movie got unveiled just a while ago. It looks creepy and gives eerie feels to you for sure.

Ram Gopal Varma made a few sensational horror films in the past. Movies like Raat, Bhoot and Kaun show his mettle in handling the horror and thriller subjects. It has been a long time he came up with such a subject. Finally, it looks like 12'o Clock with fill that void. The trailer is extremely engaging and keeps you hooked to it throughout. Going by it, we assume Ram Gopal Varma shot it long back and is planning to release it now. MM Keeravani composed the music of it.

Seasoned actors like Makrand Deshpande, Mithun Chakraborty, Ashish Vidyarthi, Manav Kaul and Flora Saini have appeared in this intriguing trailer. Having such a talented cast, the film may definitely have strong content in it. Of late, Varma is coming with flicks of no fizz. The trailer of 12'o clock is giving some hope for his fans. Varma will release the film directly on an OTT platform. The release details will get announced soon.

Juhi Chawla says the Coronavirus lockdown will teach Bollywood that we don't need 150 people on set for a shoot

The Coronavirus pandemic has not just changed the way people live but also how they work and function. The Hindi film industry has also seen major changes in the last couple of months. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Juhi Chawla has said that a major change will also come in the number of people on any film set.

Speaking about the future of the film industry the 54-year-old actor said, "Like we realized in life that we don’t need so many frills and fancies, we might also realize that on a set we might not needd 150 people, and essentially make the film with just half the number. It could be that kind of realizations.”

The actress also recalled an incident from her past. She said, "I was telling my family about the times when we traveled abroad for a shoot. Here, in India, on a set, we had a crew of about 100-115 people. When I went to shoot Darr (1993) in Switzerland, we had literally 32 people. We went there for a month, and 50 percent of it was shot there, maybe more. Could you tell the difference on-screen?"

"There’s an assistant, who wants another assistant, who wants one spot boy. Of course, there are projects that may require such numbers, but not always," she added.

Juhi Chawla also admitted that she was unsure of what to feel when the lockdown began. However now as time goes on Juhi is much more secure. She concluded saying, "... as days went by, I realized that even with just the basics, you can actually get back quite comfortable. I soon started to enjoy the fact that I didn’t have to do so many unnecessary things. Within a few days into the lockdown, the air in Mumbai was clean; it never looked greener, there were birds every morning. I was in bliss."

Actor Swara Bhaskar says Prasoon Joshi is one of the finest writers in all of Bollywood

Swara Bhaskar recently appeared in the Amazon Prime Video show Rasbhari. The show has received a positive word of mouth from multiple critics already. Indian Censor Board chief Prasoon Joshi, however, isn't too happy with Swara Bhaskar's recent show. Prasoon Joshi raised his objections against a particular scene where a young girl is seen dancing in front of adults.

Initially, Swara responded by politely saying that Joshi perhaps misunderstood the scene. Now in a recent interview with Rajeev Masand Swara Bhaskar has called Prasoon Joshi one of the finest writers in all of Bollywood. The actress said, "I cannot believe Prasoon sir didn’t understand the meaning of the scene. He’s one of our finest writers, he’s given us some of our finest work. I have too much respect and regard for him to believe that he didn’t understand what that scene meant.”

"The purpose of the scene is to demonstrate how adults and society sexualize children, and the second thing is how subcontinental parenting we give our girls and boys different values,” she added.

Previously Swara had defended the scene saying, "Respected sir, maybe you are misunderstanding the scene. The way you are describing the scene, it is just the opposite. The child is dancing at her own will. Her father feels embarrassed after seeing this. The dance is not provocative. She is simply dancing and has no idea about how society will sexualize her too. This is what the scene shows. #Rashbhari."

Rasbhari also stars Ayushmaan Saxena and Neelu Kohli in pivotal roles.
