Mohanlal's Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham release postponed

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has been upbeat about his upcoming film, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. The film, which was censored in 2019, won several National Awards this year. After being postponed already once, Marakkar: Arabikadlinte Simham was slated to hit the theatres on May 13. However, due to the ongoing second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic, the film's release has been postponed again. Marakkar was slated to release in the theatres in 2020 itself. Due to the first wave of the pandemic, the makers decided to wait it out.

Now, Mohanlal took to social media to announce the postponement of Marakar and announced the new release date as well. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham will release in theatres on August 12. Mohanlal announced the same by releasing a new poster on his social media pages. This is the fourth time the Marakkar team is postponing the film's release. Directed by Priyadarshan, Marakkar features Mohanlal, Keerthy Suresh, Ashok Selvan, Manju Warrier, Arjun Sarja, Prabhu, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Pranav Mohanlal, and Nedumudi Venu in important roles. The film was initially slated to release in theatres on March 26, 2020, and had to be postponed multiple times.
