Puri Jagannadh is un-arguably one of the trendsetters in the Telugu film industry. He has brought a new meaning to the filmmaking in Telugu cinema. That is why he is an inspiration for many millennial Telugu filmmakers. It has been 20 years since Puri made his debut into films. His maiden film Badri released on April 20th, 2000. Since then, there was no looking back for the director. Today, Puri celebrates two decades of his film career. On this occasion, celebrities have started pouring him wishes all over social media.

 
In two decades of his career, Puri directed 36 films. Most of them have become blockbusters at the box office. Puri has also worked with almost all the top Telugu heroes, barring Chiranjeevi. He has also worked with Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Some of the trendsetting movies of Puri Jagannadh includes Itlu Shravani Subrahmanyam, Idiot, Amma Nanna Oo Tamilammayi, Pokiri, Desamuduru, Chirutha, Neninthe, Businessman, Temper, and iSmart Shankar. Currently, Puri is directing an untitled pan-Indian film which features Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday as the leads. The film is currently in the midway of its shoot.
 
Meanwhile, the celebrities are pouring in wishes for Puri on this achievement. His production house partner Charmy tweeted, "Celebrating #20yearsofpurijagan. Many stronger years ahead @purijagan@puriconnects."
