Suriya, Karthi and their father Sivakumar donate Rs 1 crore to TN CM fund

The country is facing the wrath of the Covid-19 pandemic which is claiming thousands of lives every day. As the second wave is raging, people have doubled up as volunteers and are helping others who are affected by the virus. On May 11, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin appealed to the public and private organizations to donate to the Chief Minister's Public relief fund to help combat the pandemic. He said that the state is in dire need of financial support. The money donated to the CM relief fund will be directly spent for increasing oxygen beds, production of oxygen beds, vaccines, and other medical expenses.

Whenever a crisis happens, veteran actor Sivakumar and his family are the first ones to make donations. Similarly, yesterday, Sivakumar along with his two sons Suriya and Karthi met CM MK Stalin at the office and donated Rs 1 crore to the CM Relief fund. Sivakumar met the media post his meeting with the CM and said, "The need of the hour is to protect the people from covid and for this, we have contributed a small sum from our side. Everyone should come forward to do their share in combating the virus."
