We Indians are crazy for Cricket and for majority of the population have their day where at some point, they discuss about cricket. Well if you think IPL is just a festival in India you are torally wrong, it is a festival worldwide. You may see the craze in players to play in IPL. The IPL is a stage wherein players from different countries come down to India and represent the franchises who opt for their services. With so much hype circling around players like Stokes, Gayle, AB De Villiers etc, the IPL definitely attracts a lot of foreign viewing and support from all nooks and corners of the world. Narine, Gayle, Pollard, Bravo and Russell have dragged hearts from the Caribbean lands while ABD, Morris, De Kock etc have their support from all the way in South Africa too. So in a nutshell, the IPL has managed to reach majority of the countries while it might take some time to find it’s feet in the non-cricket playing nations. However, broadcasting rights and time-zone differences in other countries seem to dampen the spirits of many IPL lovers in other countries. Hopefully in a couple of years, we’ll have a massive fan base from outside India as well! The Indian Premier League (IPL), officially Vivo Indian Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India contested during April and May of every year by teams representing 8 Indian cities and some states. The league was founded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2008, and is regarded as the brainchild of Lalit Modi, the founder and former commissioner of the league. IPL has an exclusive window in ICC Future Tours Programme.
