Karnataka HC to pass order on DK Shivakumar petition against ED summons
The Karnataka High Court to pass an order on DK Shivakumar's petition against ED summons on August 28. The High Court has reserved its order after the conclusion of arguments and counter-arguments by the defence and prosecution. Former minister DK Shivakumar had filed the petition in High Court seeking cancellation of summons issued by Enforcement Directorate in connection with Income Tax department's raids. I-T sleuths had seized Rs 8.59 crore during the raids on the houses of DK Shivakumar and his close aides in Delhi. ED had recently issued summons to DK Shivakumar and his close aides to appear before the investigating team for questioning. ED had sought an explanation from DK Shivakumar on the source of money seized during raids on his residences.
