Former Congress Minister Ramalinga Reddy met Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa at his Dollars colony residence. Ramalinga Reddy said he has just discussed the cut in grants to constituencies of Opposition MLAs and requested the Chief Minister to reconsider the decision and not to cut the grants. He accused Centre of not cooperating with the state government over flood relief works.

The Congress leaders accuse the state BJP government of discriminating against their MLAs and corporators by cutting the grants allocated for the development of assembly constituencies and BBMP wards.
