Tharagathi Gadhi Daati Review - Story

Tharagathi Gadhi Daati is a teenage romance that revolves around the lives of four teenagers, played by Harshith Reddy, Snehal, Nikhil Devadula, and Payal. How do these four individuals deal with a new phase of life as they explore tender love and romance? The answer to this question forms the rest of the plot.

Tharagathi Gadhi Daati Review - Analaysis

Much like the original ‘Flames’, Tharagathi Gadhi Daati Is set in a rural backdrop. The series explores the tender romance between four young individuals, who are studying +1. While the main emphasis is on the lead pair, played by Harshith and Payal, the love track between Nikhil and Snehal also packs a punch.

As far as the story goes, Tharagathi Gadhi Daati doesn’t offer anything of great value. It is a typical teenage romance with a simple and wafer-thin plot. The story is presented in a true manner without much divergence. The chemistry between the lead pair is good. The set-up and the vibe are pleasant and organic.

The protagonist is good at studies but he is more interested in cooking. His life goes topsy turvy after he meets Payal. What follows is a tale of tender love that brews between the duo. This is Tharagathi Gadhi Daati’s story in a nutshell.

There is ample dose of comedy in the series and it works to an extent, thanks to good performances from the lead cast. As for the love track between the lead characters, it has its own share of lucid moments and as well as cliched scenes. The father-son track involving the protagonist and his father is impressive. But the cliched scenes pertaining to the emotional journey of the lead pair play spoilsport.

The ending is the least bit impressive as the proceedings are rushed up and although the narrative suggests there is a sophomore season to follow, there is no hook point that hypes up the same.

Tharagathi Gadhi Daati Review - Verdict

Tharagathi Gadhi Daati is a passable teenage romance that has just about enough things going it's way. That said, the cliched scenes towards the end might not make for great viewing. So keep your expectations in check if you plan to watch the series
