IIT Council took a decision to conduct JEE advanced exam in the same format. It did not consider Centre’s recommendations to bring reforms in the conduct of JEE exam. The council refused the recommendation of limiting IITs to offer only postgraduate courses. The IIT Council which met under the chairmanship of Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has decided to offer B Tech courses for students and retain the same tuition fee. A committee would be set up with directors of Tirupati, Hyderabad and Delhi for the development of infrastructure in IITs.
