Nearly three years ago, the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council election made headlines as Vishal and Sarathkumar’s group indulged in a nasty war of words. In the election, Vishal’a team won and promised that will eradicate piracy once for all along with other such promises.
They further stated that if they are not able to fulfil the promises, they’ll resign from their respective positions. Now, a section of people from the opposition party started protesting against Vishal’s leadership.
Yesterday, a group of producers protested in front of TFPC office in T Nagar. Since Vishal was not available, they had locked down the office and raised slogans against Vishal and his leadership.
They claimed that Vishal hasn’t fulfilled his promises in these two years. Be it piracy or regulation of film releases, he hasn’t done anything for the small time producers they claim.
JK Ritesh, Rajan and others indulged in a fight with producer Kadiresan. Vishal’a friends RK Suresh and Udhaya, who recently resigned from their positions were also among the people who protested, reports claim.
