Vijay Sethupathi’s fourth release of the year Seethakaathi caught everyone off guard with its unique premise. Despite Sethupathi’s minimal screen-time, the film seems to have appealed to a lot of people.
In the Balaji Tharaneetharan-directed film, he played the role of an old theatre artist named Ayya Adhimoolam. His presence is felt even after is demise and the proceedings form the story.
According to a report in a leading website, Rajinikanth seems to have watched Seethakathi and is in awe of the film and Sethupathi’s brilliant performance.
Appreciating Sethupathi’s gutsy choice of films, Rajinikanth has reportedly said, “Vijay Sethupathi na Vidyasam. Vidyasam na Vijay Sethupathi.”
Rajinikanth and Vijay Sethupathi will share screen space in Director Karthik Subbaraj’s upcoming film Petta. The commercial action flick will release on Pongal 2019.
