Super Over Movie Review:

The movie introduces the leads, Kaasi, Madhu, and Vaasu, played by Naveen Chandra, Chandini Chowdary, and Rakendu Mouli individually. Then the story hints about the financial problems that Kaasi is facing. The trio meets their old friend, Bangaru Raju(Harsha Chemudu), who now earned a decent amount of money through cricket betting. As the financial pressure in Kaasi's home escalates, Kaasi, with the support of, Madhu contacts Bangar Raju to set foot into the world of cricket betting and eventually get in contact with Murali. By the end of the betting season, Kaasi scores a massive hit. The movie then loops back to narrate Murali's version, how he tries to cheat Kaasi? What obstacles the trio face to gain the money? Will they end up with the money? and the twists included altogether gives a thrilling experience.

Super Over Movie Performances:

Naveen Chandra, as a troubling youngster with financial pressures and quick-witted, made justice to his role.

Chandini Chowdary played the role of a female buddy and balanced the trio decently. The three leads have equal screen space and scope to perform.

Ajay, in the role of an aggressive and greedy Police officer, kept the audience on their toes.

Super Over Movie Positives:

The movie narrates how cricket betting works and what all aspects and dangers involve in it. All the twists and turns make it a thrilling experience.

The friendship aspect in the movie is entertaining and looks realistic. There aren't any worth marking scenes, but the entire screenplay fitted decently.

Divakar Mani, DOP for the film, did a splendid job as he made the night visuals look much prettier. Music by Sunny M.R isn't noticeable but blended well in the movie and carries the thrilling mood.

Super Over Movie Negatives:

As the film bases on a lean storyline, it didn't give much scope for the commercial elements like songs and fights. A few scenes are far away from reality.

The looping of the film in Murali's version leads to repeating of the same dialogues and scenes, which lagged the movie.

However, the film ends with a few questions unanswered leaves the audience in a state of bizarre. , like, will the cops investigate the crime further? Did the trio manage to escape with the money? Did Kaasi manage to clear his loan?

Super Over Movie Verdict:

The movie is a crime thriller with a good screenplay. Yet, it seems lagging with the repeated scenes and zero commercial elements. The film gives a vague idea of what cricket betting is and what dangers it includes. The film leaves the ending unfinished, leaving it to the audience to imagine, which can be unsettling for some viewers. The movie is watchable for its thrills and screenplay.
