Kozhikode: Research studies and laboratory tests in connection with fever-related deaths are very few and far between in Kerala even now. The criteria of the World Health Organization and the Central Government say that in cases like deaths caused due to epidemics including brain fever, samples should be collected, examined properly and confirm the disease.
