Thippara Meesam Movie Review
Thippara Meesam Review: Sree Vishnu's film has a good plot but fails in execution.
Thippara Meesam Movie Story:
Mani (Sree Vishnu) is an arrogant drug junkie, who is also a DJ in a club and makes money out of it for a living. Due to his past, he hates his mother (Rohini), but that doesn't stop him from taking money from her.
Mani gets drawn towards betting and is stuck in a financial crisis. To come out of it, he demands Rs 40 lakh from her. However, the cheque that his mother gives gets bounced. He files a case on his mother and what happens to his life forms the rest of the story.
Thippara Meesam Movie Performance:
played the role of a school kid in Brochevarevarura
. His character in Thippara Meesam is in stark contrast to the previous film. But, he proved himself as a talented actor by displaying a kickass performance.
Another pillar of strength to this film is the matured performance of veteran actress Rohini. There's a reason why she got hailed as one of the best character artists of all time and her performance is testament to this statement.
Banerjee essayed the role of Sree Vishnu's uncle in Thippara Meesam and he, too, for his part displayed a neat performance.
Josh Ravi played Sree Vishnu's sidekick and his expressions were quite apt to the situation and created an impact.
Thippara Meesam Movie Positives:
Thippara Meesam is watchable mainly because of its brilliant performances from the lead characters. Sree Vishnu underwent a complete transformation physically and he has worked on his acting skills as well, which is visible in the film.
Rohini as the helpless mother is perfect for the role and she is the soul of Thippara Meesam.
The film, directed by Krishna Vijay, has only a handful of positives. Though the proceedings look quite odd, the director scored more points towards the climax where emotions run high and are conveyed properly.
Thippara Meesam Movie Negatives:
Let's face it, Thippara Meesam is not a perfect film. It has a lot of negatives than positives and one could easily get bored sitting through this weird film. Mainly, the film is quite regressive in nature.
Thippara Meesam had a solid idea that could have developed into a brilliant script. However, the director failed in this attempt to make it an interesting film.
Also, Telugu movie fans usually expect a righteous hero. They do not accept actors who display their grey shades and this is the main disadvantage of Thippara Meesa which shows its hero in a negative light.
Thippara Meesam Movie Verdict:
Thippara Meesam is an example of what would go wrong if a good story does not have a good screenplay. The dark and weird characterization of the hero failed to work in a positive way. If you can sit through the entire film to watch the climax, then watch Thipparaa Meesam.
