Disco Raja Movie Review
Disco Raja comes up with an intriguing plot but it falls flat towards the end and becomes an average movie.
Disco Raja Movie Review:
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja comes up with an interesting film Disco Raja. The theatrical trailer of the movie did not hit Youtube but the makers managed to create a unique buzz with the teasers and posters. V I Anand is the film's director. SRT Entertainments is the production house that bankrolled the movie. Ram Talluri and Rajani Talluri are the film's producers. The film released today and read the review of the film here.
As a plotline, the film is very much interesting. Vasu (Ravi Teja) lives in Delhi and goes missing suddenly. His body gets found in Ladakh. On a parallel note, a gang sets on a mission in search of Disco Raj (Ravi Teja). The rest of the story is to find the real identity of the discovered body which involves a lot of twists and turns.
Performances wise, Ravi Teja is undoubtedly the biggest plus point for the film. His energetic performance made the audience connect really well with the film. Payal Rajput
delivered a decent performance in the film. Nabha Natesh
also carried her role with ease and has blended well with her character. Tanya Hope is pretty and promising in the movie. Bobby Simha's performance in the movie is like an icing on the cake. His wonderful performance definitely is worth appreciating. Actors like Vennela Kishore, Sunil and Sathya will evoke good laughs in the theatres. The rest of the actors made their presence felt.
Technically, the movie is good with high standards. Director VI Anand picked up a complex storyline for this film but has succeeded in making the audience connect well with the story. The director not only focuses more on the entertainment factor but also gives equal importance to the flow of the story as well as character establishments. Though his pace of narration got slowed down in the second half, we can say that he has narrated the story in a decent way. Production values by SRT Entertainments banner are good. Music by SS Thaman is just average. None of his songs succeeded in making an impact. His BGM is impressive. DOP Karthik Ghattamaneni also provided excellent visuals for the film. Editing by Naveen Nooli is clean and neat.
The movie has a complex storyline but the director has succeeded in narrating it in an engaging way. Though some of the scenes felt logicless, the director will impress with his pace of the narration. The entire first half is full of entertainment and vintage Ravi Teja is back with this film. The interval twist is gripping. The second half is somewhat slow. Some of the scenes will test the patience of the audience. However, the climax and pre-climax came out well. But, there are some scenes that remained unexplained which is the minus point in the film. Performances, BGM, and grand visuals are the biggest plus points for this movie. Despite having a few setbacks, Disco Raja movie is only a one time watch.
