After a long hibernation, Ram Pothineni and Malayali beauty Anupama Parameshwaran under Dil Raju’s funding came up together to come up with a novel romantic flick,Hello Guru Prema Kosame. Since, both the leads have had slumps in the past, this movie is totally a career-deciding film. Did the film add mileage to their sluggish career? Let’ see.
The movie begins with Sanju (Ram Pothineni), a trainee software engineer relocating from Kakinada to Hyderabad to make a livelihood in the IT industry. He starts living with one of his family friend, Prakash Raj’s house in the city. Sanju tries hard to impress his office co-worker Reethu played by Pranitha Subash, but he learns that he’s fallen for Anupama , Prakash Raj’s daughter. The twist lies in Prakah Raj vowing to get his daughter married to an NRI
The rest unfolds how he woos Anupama and Prakash Raj.
Trinadh Rao’s humorous narration fascinated the audience. The scenes between Ram and Pranitha have been shot well.Ram plays the role of the boy nextdoor with flair. Anupama has a relatively lesser screen space but does justice to her role.
Pranitha plays a bubbly girl in an office setup. Prakash Raj, bags the entire second half with his chucklesome and an emotional character. Amani is fair in her role and so were all the supporting cast.
Unlike the first half, the second half is not all sparkles and rainbows. All the emotional drama slows down the swiftness.A major drawback would be a lack of the lead pair sharing more screen presence together.Anupama is not very expressive about her revelation for her love. The audience might want a break from a mainstream story line.
Production values by Dil Raju are only reasonable. The camera work is up to par and the editing is moderate. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is intermediate
Here,Trinadh Rao sir has chosen a very incomplex story written by Prasanna and has conserved the fun factor.
Romantic dramas are hardly any different nowadays but thoughtful narration and humour covers up for the monotony. With the exception of clichéd emotions and climax, the movie is fairly a good outcome for this festive season.
