Jathi Ratnalu Story:

Three Jathi Ratnalu Naveen Polishetty, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Priyadarshe land in big trouble after they are accused of murdering the sports minister Chanakya (Murali Sharma). They have nobody but them and their inexperienced lawyer Chitti (Faria Abdullah) to bail out of the jail. The rest of the story uncloaks their efforts to prove not guilty.

Jathi Ratnalu Performances:

Naveen is a gem of an actor. He shoulders the film with his splendid performance. He is ably supported by Rahul Ramakrishna and Priyadarshi who excel in their respective roles. Faria looks really beautiful and she is a natural actress. Murali Sharma plays the comical antagonist and he is in his elements. Other comedy actors like Brahmanandam, and Vennela Kishore make their presence felt.

Jathi Ratnalu Review:

The beauty of Jathi Ratnalu is that the comedy is mostly generated through the situations that the three innocent lads land in. Quite a few scenes in the film are farcical but they generate enough humour for the viewers to leave logics aside and laugh their hearts out.

The plot is one dimensional and a couple of unconvincing twists have been infused into it. They don’t serve the purpose of building suspense, but related scenes generate situational comedy which just about enough to keep the viewers hooked. The entire first half is dedicated to establish the lead characters and it progresses at a brisk pace. The interval bang is decent at best.

One of the flaws in the film is that certain scenes which need logical explanations are narrated on a lighter note with slapstick comedy. The climax is unconventional but it brings the house down, much like many other scenes in the film.

Radhan‘s background score is excellent. The widely popular Chitti song could have been picturized in a better manner. The director Anudeep succeeds in extracting the very best from his cast and technicians.

Jathi Ratnalu Verdict:

Jathi Ratnalu is a bit farcical at times but it brings the house down, thanks to excellent performances from the lead cast and Anudeep’s writing. It can make for a good watch this weekend.
