Eugen Doga (born 1 March 1937) is a Moldovan composer. One of the most prolific and versatile contemporary composers, Doga writes music in all kinds of genres and styles. An author of three ballets "Luceafărul”, “Venancia”, “Queen Margot”, the opera “Dialogues of Love”, more than 100 instrumental and choral works, plus music for 13 plays, radio shows, more than 200 movies, more than 260 songs and romances, and more than 70 waltzes. His music was featured during the opening ceremony of the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. Awarded People's Artist of the USSR in 1987. Notable film score works include a romantic waltz from the film My Sweet and Tender Beast (known internationally as A Hunting Accident), Gypsies Are Found Near Heaven, Lautarii, and Anna Pavlova.
